Louis Ernesto Valdez
Scott had invited Louis to lunch today so we had taco soup all ready to heat and just before he came the power went off. I still think is something a bit political in their firing him the day after he found the Twainese woman dead here. Anyway seems to be a good wholesome young man and we have really enjoyed him. He is reading the Book of Mormon and said it was alright if we sent the missionaries to his house. He lives with his brother somewhere here in the city. Instead of dinner he got brownies, fruit, and banana bread - great dinner, huh? We miss seeing him around but maybe he will come back and visit us. Scott had to go down and talk to the guards because they weren't going to let him come in to visit us.
I must be the worst computer user in country - Can't get the center alignment to change to the left.
At the temple tonight there were only four of us. Made for a quick session! I thought tonight about all of the times Lucy and I took the sister missionaries to the temple, of the times Barb went with us, about the times Sheri came - all such special memories for me. Hope the Ogden Temple is coming along so we can go there when we get home. The temple is such a place of peace and serenity for me. I realize each time I go how much better I need to be. We were late getting there tonight because "PaPa", a candidate for president here, had a hundred dump trucks, long haul truck, every big truck there is in the city going through the city with their horns blaring and his flags waving. It was truly amazing and horribly loud!
