Study, arrange lessons for Sister Romero, study, practice, study, Spanish class, Temple -
and still not enough time in the day to do everything we need to do.
However today in class there were two new women who have no experience with the Spanish language. Both of them looked shell-shocked! One is a young mother of an 8 month old baby girl - what a wonderful addition because she brings the baby with her! The baby reminds me so much of Jake and Cami's little Brinley - but not as cute of course. The other is Sister Mahon. The class isn't taught as a beginners class so there are many times I am completely lost. But, thankfully, there are beginning to be more times I understand. Just watching the expression on Sister Mahon's face was hard because I know how lost she feels. One of the managers called today to tell us to turn on the water and run it because they are running chlorine through the system. Scott was gone so I answered the phone. This man speaking Spanish tries to tell me something - I have no idea what he was saying. He tried to say each word slowly but I still couldn't get it. I know he was frustrated so it's a good thing Scott ran into him on his was back. Many times I wonder if I will ever be able to communicate here even though I am learning so much.
They have campaigning all wrong in the US. It's much more creative here.
This glider was flying over the city with the name "PaPa" on it. Can't find the one of the girl dancing in a leotard like outfit dancing on top of the truck decorated with flags and painted yellow and purple to represent Danillo, or the plane pulling the huge "Vote PaPa" sign. The candidates have vowed to keep this election free from personal attacks and violence. Unfortunately, the supporters don't have the same mentality!
