I'm starting early on my blog today because I am so uptight!  I keep telling myself that the Lord is in charge and whatever happens in our country will be what He wants for whatever reason.  That helps me alot!  One of the senior missionaries sent us a voting story that just made it more clear what we have to lose in our country.
Anyway the day hasn't been much better on other fronts as well.  We haven't been able to get ahold of the guy who is in charge of fixing things in the apartment so we still have extension cords going from our bedroom to the kitchen to keep the fridge going which you have to unplug every time you want to use the stove or the microwave or the toaster or the mixer . . . .We are just blessed to have electricity somewhere.  Then the Orange Co. called - the internet service we cancelled five months ago - and told us that our account is still active and we owe them for five months of service.  You have to have a special box to get the service which we took back to them when we cancelled the service.  They said the box was no good to them so we brought it back but haven't used it.  Then Wilton came up from downstairs - we are missing William - and said that Soyla (the manager of the building) wanted Scott to come talk to her about the gate he had barely backed into last week.  She had a repair man there and he had this huge bill that she thinks Scott should pay.  He knocked the gate a little to the right in the track.  The track itself is all rusted out because of the rain.  He said he would pay half but that is all.  This is after he paid Soyla what the apartment owners have not paid for six month in back dues to  so we could have gas.  So he came up 8 flights of stairs because we have no working elevator and found tools, went back down and fixed the gate so it will close.  Soyla was standing right there and didn't say anything.  Wonder if she will kick us out?    Are we supposed to move out of this apartment?  I guess if we come back from the temple and find all of our things in the parking lot we will know it is time to move on...
Well we are back - our bags weren't in the parking lot so we still have somewhere to sleep tonight!
