The dominican "delivery van"
This is on one of the busiest highways in the city. These people have amazing balance or maybe it is just that we don't see them when they fall off the truck with the cabinets!
I have talked alot about the shoes here. Thought one day I would just take a camera to a public place and snap pictures of people shoes but when I was in the mall with Scott we passed a shoe store so decided to take some pictures there instead. They wear these 6" heels with jeans or other skin tight pants as well as with skirts, shorts, etc. This is just a few pair but you get some idea. I did read in the paper today of a toe surgery you could have that would enable you to wear these shoes with less discomfort.
This is Scott's favorite street vendor. The only one we see in costume!
Spent this morning getting together packets of information for two of the stake presidents from Puerto Rico that are here for the week with some of their people to attend the temple. With my lack of computer skills it took a long time to get them together and printed off so we could give them to the presidents when we met with them this afternoon. When we got to the meeting a young man was playing the piano - amazingly well! He said that he had taught himself to play through UTUBE. The Teschs from Huntsville are here serving a mission ( Garth taught Seminary in Morgan) met with us also. Sister Tesch is doing an awesome job with the music in Puerto Rico. It was fun to visit with them!
We are having three couples for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I am so grateful to have choice friends to celebrate one of my favorite holidays with. It fills a little of that emptiness of missing my family.
